The fast development of technology and economy has erased the borders for Global Communication. Thus, the Nation's efforts to develop and support the small and medium businesses (SMB), that are more capable of flexible production, have become one of the determinants of its economic success. These days, small and medium businesses with their flexible structures that generate employment and cover biggest part of the Nation's production, quickly adaptable to change are in the World Agenda. In such countries as USA, Japan and EU the importance of SMB in Economic Development has already been proven.

The Central Asia by using SMB actively can cover the know-how and technology gap between USA and EU. Therefore, the SMB have started to gain the overall attention in Central Asia, it is important to study the problems and solutions of small and medium business (SMB), development of which is a competitive advantage.

In the context of Central Asia Development, discussion of MSB issues in the form of conference it is a step forward.

The purpose of this conference is to strengthen the partnership between MSB and University. Thus, this conference is open for academicians, officials, international organizations, private institutions, and MNC representatives.

Any papers related to SMB development additional to the ones mentioned above are welcome.

Submission

a.. Submissions should include in word or pdf formats: 1) Title of the paper, Abstract (not more than 350 words; please pay attention to provide a title and an abstract in line with each other, and the abstract should be informative for non-specialists) , Key words (up to 5-6 ), Full names and affiliation of all authors, Corresponding author's name, full postal address, telephone number, fax number, email address 2) Resume(s) of the participant( s)


a.. Papers are accepted in English, Kazakh, Russian and Turkish languages
b.. Round table and personal presentations are welcome
c.. Proposals have to be emailed as attachments in word format to Dr.Nurettin CAN (conference coordinator) at nurettincan@ sdu.edu.kz , before September 21, 2006
d.. The accepted papers will be announced to the Conference participants on 30 September, 2006
e.. The deadline for paper submission is 21 October, 2006


Conference fee:

Conference fee is 150USD, for local participants it is 5000 tenge. Participants will be informed how to transfer the amount.

Accommodation and Traveling Expenses

We regret that we cannot offer any funding for international travel expenditures. As to accommodation, university will help them to arrange.

The paper format

a.. Text should have 1,5 spacing; format Times New Roman, size 11
b.. Top and left margins 4.00, bottom and right margins 2.5 cm
c.. Approximately 20 pages. If your paper is longer than these limits, we recommend you to shorten it before the submission
