The University of Cologne will once again host the internationally renowned World Business Dialogue (WBD) for the eleventh time on the 28th and 29th of March, 2007. With German Chancellor Angela Merkel as Patron, distinguished leaders from business, politics and science will meet with enthusiastic students to discuss issues surrounding "Population Dynamics - Ageing Societies and Megacities: Opportunities
for Corporate Growth". The World Business Dialogue is the world's largest student-run business convention.
By entering the WBD Essay Competition, you can put your qualifications to the test, and become one of the 300 students who receive a close to fully paid invitation to the WBD in Cologne, Germany. Your essay will be judged by an independent jury, made up of well-known professors and corporate executives. To cater to your personal strengths, there are three topics to choose from. You will find the essay topics at
http://www.ofw. de/index. php?id=554& L=3. There you will also find all necessary information about your participation in the 11th World Business Dialogue.
In addition, together with students from over 70 nations, you will have the opportunity to participate in a unique and enriching supporting programme. In the week leading up to the Dialogue, you will tour German companies, see the sights of Cologne, and experience first-hand German culture - naturally Cologne's nightlife will be on the agenda.
As the past World Business Dialogue already aroused your interest, we hope that you will reconsider your participation. At the website mentioned above, you will have the opportunity to register for our newsletter. Due date of the application will be December 15, 2006. Finally, I would like to point out our bonus programme: Help us to
spread the word about the World Business Dialogue at your university. For every applicant who cites you, receive bonus points that reduce your participation fees.
