Three vacant positions for PhD candidates for the PETROMAKS project:“Enhanced Oil Recovery for Maximising Tail Production” at the CIPR

CIPR is the Norwegian Centre of Excellence in Petroleum research. It currently employs more than 50 researchers and about 40 PhD students

The candidates will work on projects related to methods for enhanced oil recovery such as foam applications, chemical flooding and water-alternating-gas (WAG) injection. We are looking both for candidates with an interest for experimental work, and for candidates that are interested in modelling of enhanced oil recovery processes.

The position runs for a period of three years, during which the fellow will enter an approved program leading to the degree of PhD.

The applicant must hold a master’s degree related to reservoir engineering, reservoir physics, physical chemistry or similar education, or have submitted the master thesis for assessment by the application deadline. It is a prerequisite, however, that the examination results are announced within 4 weeks of the closing date for submitting the master thesis.
