For the publication of issue 1 we are interested in papers that tackle the theme:

Are There New Security Enclosures? Clarifying Security Concepts and Boundaries Old and new stakeholders are challenged to update and adapt their engagement in the ever-changing security environment. Are new parameters and operational methods needed? How this affects security concepts and boundaries? The aim of the first issue is to discuss a possible re-definition of the European security concept, structures, main challenges and its governance. In order to stimulate constructive dialogue during the SAfE Platform initiatives, papers must be policy oriented. Case studies are welcome, especially if dealing with civil and/or military missions and with specific security practices. The Editor also welcomes any relevant input from "out of area" researchers, in particular technology centered, in order to enrich and enlarge the debate.
