Job: NYU Ottoman language lecturer job

The Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at New York University invites applications for a Language Lecturer position in Ottoman language, texts, and paleography, to begin September 1, 2008, pending administrative and budgetary approval. In addition to a teaching load of two courses per semester, the position entails responsibility for administering, and helping to develop, our lecture/conference program in Ottoman Studies. Experience in teaching Ottoman language, documents, and prose texts at the university level is required. MA in Ottoman literature, history, or a related field required; Ph.D. in Ottoman literature, history, or a related field, preferred.
