USA: Scholarship at Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, Illinois

Elmhurst College invites students to live, work, and study in a dynamic and intercultural environment within close proximity to downtown Chicago.

Founded in 1871, Elmhurst is a private, liberal arts college, affiliated with the United Church of Christ that ranks among U.S. News and World Report`s best colleges in the Midwest. Elmhurst`s campus, a 38 acre registered arboretum, is a suburban sanctuary that is host to more than 600 varieties of trees and shrubs.

Elmhurst is able to afford each of its 2,400 traditional undergraduate student`s individualized attention and strong professional prepar ation. Of the fifty possible undergraduate majors, some of the most popular among international students are housed in the Center for Business and Economics (CBE). The CBE offers degrees in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, international business, logistics and supply chain management, management and marketing. In addition to a strong academic curriculum, business students are given the opportunity to participate in Elmhurst`s thirty-year- old internship program which allows students to earn course credit and gain invaluable practical experience while interning for a
business within the Chicago area.

Around 88 percent of all incoming Elmhurst freshman receive financial aid. The college awards various scholarships to students including freshmen; transfer students; members of the United Church of Christ; academically eligible Asian, African American, Hispanic, and Native American students; and students who demonstrate exceptional talent in music, art and theatre.

Application Deadline
General Admission: Applications are accepted between December 1 and April 15 for the fall term. For the spring term, prospective students should apply between October 1 and December 1.

Scholarships: Students should apply for admission to Elmhurst by January 15 for scholarship consideration for the fall term.

Eligibility Requirements

General Admissions
Incoming freshman must submit:
- A completed application form
- TOEFL (550/213/79 minimum score; IELTS (6.5 minimum band score or higher); MELAB (77 or higher)
- Official secondary school transcript
- A faculty recommendation
- Official score on the ACT or SAT test
- F1 Visa

Scholarships
