USA: Scholarship at Bard College, Annandale-on- Hudson, New York

Renowned for academic innovation and interdisciplinary study, Bard College promises a sound liberal arts education in an idyllic setting on the east bank of the Hudson River, just two hours north of New York City. Bard`s philosophy emphasizes empowerment and its close knit community of 1,667 students is engaged both academically and socially.

Bard offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in more than 40 different academic fields in four divisions: Arts; Languages and Literature; Science, Mathematics, and Computing; and Social Studies as well as a B.S. or B.M. in its five-year double degree programs. In keeping with a focus on flexibility, Bard has launched several special programs based on student and faculty interests such as the West Point-Bard Exchange, The New Orleans Initiative, and the Bard program for Globalization and International Affairs in New York City.

Bard is one of the few American colleges and universities that awards financial aid to international students. Bard Foreign Scholarships, based on financial need, can range from several thousand dollars to full-tuition. On average, a Bard international student receives $28,900 in financial aid, more than half the full cost of attending. In addition, Bard offers full-tuition scholarships to students wishing to pursue studies in the sciences or economics.

Application Deadline
General Admission: The deadline for fall admission is January 15 and November 1 for spring transfer students. Scholarships: March 15 for prospective students.

General Admissions
Incoming freshman must submit:
-A completed application form
-A foreign student declaration of finances
-A foreign student financial aid form
-TOEFL (600/250/100 minimum score); IELTS (7 minimum band score)
-Secondary school report
-Two academic references
-F1 Visa
