Subject: PTPI's Global Youth Forum (GYF) in Kansas City, MO (USA)
At PTPIÂ’s Global Youth Forum, young achievers from around the world aged 13 to 18 explore various perspectives and skills while also experiencing an exciting new group of diverse people and cultures. A variety of dynamic speakers, interactive workshops and rewarding activities highlight this unique youth conference, which is devoted to key components of the PTPI mission: international understanding, education, leadership and humanitarianism.
European students are invited to take part in the International Student Panel. The International Student Panel at the 2006 GYF will serve as a forum for students of diverse backgrounds and cultures to share and dialogue about their experiences within their home country. Each participant will be provided with a list of pre-planned questions to prepare prior to his or her arrival at the GYF. There will also be an unscripted question and answer time that will occur between the panel
participants and the entire GYF delegation.

Target group:
* 14 – 18 years of age during the time of the Conference
* A high school student (even if students are 18 years of age, but a university student, they will not be considered)
* Excellent communication skills
* High degree of fluency in the English language
* Comfortable speaking in front of large groups
* Knowledge of world affairs
* Active within their community
* Commitment to and belief in the mission of People to People International
* Applicants who are not member of PTPI are welcome, but membership is an advantage
Price:
People to People International provides full scholarships to international participants of the 2006 Global Youth Forum taking part in the International Student Panel: the scholarship covers the cost of lodging, food and all activities during the GYF. PTPI will also pay for round trip airfare between the studentÂ’s home town and Kansas City.

A complete application includes the completed Student Panel application form, the completed GYF Application form (payment information will not be necessary, since international participants receive a full scholarship) and the letter of recommendation completed by a teacher or other adult (no relatives!).
Applications sent by fax or e-mail are only accepted as preliminary applications. The original documents with signatures need to be sent by postal service as well.
