Calling for partners - Intercultural dialogue exchange in PALESTINE

Dear Friends and colleagues,

We are in Ta'awon Youth forum- Palestinian Conflict Resolution Institute inviting you to participate in intercultural dialogue exchange under The EuoMed - Cultural Activities Program MEDA – 2007 as agreed with our partners agreed to proceed in the project which has been started in 26 June 2005 in West Bank and Gaza Strip with
new content, activities, and participants within the framework of the principles of freedom thought, of conscience, of religion, of expression, of assembly and of association, and promoting a greater mutual understanding between European countries, Mediterranean and the rest of the world.

The exchange program includes visits to historical and cultural places such as Jericho, Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Sabastya nearby Nablus. It also includes visit to different refugee camps, and different religious sects, different schools, universities & youth organizations.

During the program the young people from European countries and their Mediterranean counterparts will be involved in mutual understanding and cohesion among young people, based on and committed to mutual respect, tolerance and dialogue among cultures having the chance to introduce and promote their countries.

The exchange program will take place in Ramallah-Palestine through Tel-Aviv Airport between April 01, 2007 (arrival) and April 10, 2007 (departure). It is open to young people from Spain, Malta, Italy, and Estonia as EU countries. Israel, Jordan, Palestine, and Turkey as Mediterranean counterparts, 4-5 participants from each country are expected.

The duration of the visit will be ten days including the arrival day, hotel expenses will be covered. Please note that Ta'awon Youth forum; Palestinian Conflict Resolution Institute will pay only 70% of ticket price – economic class, 100% full board accommodation, and 100% for transportation and Visa fees. About Visa question to Palestine visas could be obtained only from Israeli embassies, so please be notified that Palestinian embassies /representatives are not dealing with visa questions. For those who need a visa to Israel and pay fees for it Ta'awon is requesting you to carry the visa bill from the Israeli embassy in your country in order to pay it back to you.

Deadline is the 10th of July 2006. Please note that program budget financed by the EuroMed can not cover the all expenses of the visit cost, so each participant should pay 100EURO as participation fees.
