Economic and Political Reporting from Southeast Europe

To foster quality analysis and reporting on economic issues, enhance coverage on topics that are central to the region’s economic and political development and encourage regional networking among journalists, the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Thomson Reuters Foundation initiated the Program "Economic and Political Reporting from Southeast Europe" in 2007.

Up to fifteen journalists from the Balkans are competitively chosen to participate in the program. The program, run by experienced Thomson Reuters staff, includes two courses of two weeks each, in Germany and in the UK respectively. Participants also travel to Brussels and Berlin to meet with policymakers and journalists covering European financial and political affairs.

Applications are being accepted for the 2010 program. The deadline is 14 February 2010.
