Dear friends!
We are glad to invite you this summer to Poland to participate in 5th International Student Camp in Zabinki (16-25 August, 2006). ISC Zabinki is an extraordinary international event that has been organized every August since 2002 among lakes and forests of Mazuria one of the most beautiful regions of Poland. The camp gathers over 100 young people (aged 18-30) from all around Europe and its program fosters on non-formal education, integration of young people from different parts of Europe,
and summer fun! Among our participants are university students, graduates, youth workers, NGO members and young professionals.
The camp is one of the most popular summer events in Europe! Its main goal is to create an international community of young people and to give them an opportunity to make friends, learn new skills and gain better understanding of cultural diversity.
Zabinki is different than traditional summer camps. Every time you have 3-4 different options of what you can do, so you can choose what you like in the moment. There is a lot of workshops on European issues, culture, environment, scholarships and internships in the EU, negotiations, simulation games and so on. But if you don't feel like doing anything of those, you can always choose suntanning on a beach, canoeing (beautiful rivers and likes around), biking, volleyball, bus trips to interesting places of former East Prussia, paintball war games, workshops on
cooking (tiramisu? pierogi?) or photography. There is also a facultative 3-day Warsaw Tour after the camp, if you want to stay longer with new friends, do some sightseeing and clubbing in one of the most dynamic cities of Europe!
The camp is organised by the Young Diplomats Center and the Foundation of International and Civic Initiatives Center of Europe. The official partner organizations are JEF Europe (Young European Federalists) and Erasmus Student Network.
