Katherine W. Fanning International Fellowship for Journalism and Democracy: Each year, Kettering invites two journalists or scholars from outside the U.S. to spend time at the foundation. In addition to participating in meetings and program work, during their six month stay, fellows engage in original research exploring how the principles of deliberative democracy and civil society can be applied to their work at home.

International Civil Society Fellowship:
Individuals from partner organizations that have completed Deliberative Democracy Workshops I and II are eligible for the International Civil Society Fellowship program. These fellowships are usually for six months and include residence and shared research at the foundation. Fellows continue to explore the role of a deliberative public in the political work of their home communities. Download Deliberative Democracy Workshops at the Kettering Foundation brochure
