The Markin Institute, through the Centre for the Study of Social and Physical Environments and Health, has available a scholarship for either a postdoctoral research fellow or a PhD student.
The primary focus of the Centre is the evaluation of interventions that address determinants of health in the social and / or physical environment (e.g. housing policy, income support, social connectedness). The successful applicant will be expected to examine the applicability of current and newly emerging methods of economic evaluations to interventions tackling properties of the social or physical environment. The position is based initially at the University of Calgary and the applicant will also be expected to spend time with collaborators at the MRC Social and Public Health Sciences Research Unit at the University of Glasgow.
