Funded for one year to work with Dr Maureen Fordham to support and develop the GDN, this role will see you contributing to redesign, actively searching for relevant materials, updating the website and contributing to email and other forum discussions. You will also seek financial support for the project and reach out to relevant groups internationally to foster information sharing.
Along with an undergraduate degree, you should have specific knowledge of gender and disaster literature, theories, issues and debates. An understanding of how the UN system, as well as nongovernmental and community based organisations populate the web is also essential, and you should have basic website design skills.
Interviews to be held late June/early July 2007.
