Post-doc, PhD, and Master studentship in comp. material & bio

Sms lab currently has a fastest supercomputer in Korea. We are interstest in high performance computing and its application to Nanomaterial and Bioinformatics.

1. Linux cluster management and monitoring tool development
2. computational material science
3. computational biochemistry

The job opening for Post-Doc is one-year (can be extended 2 more years) The salary is (1.2 million to 2 million won per month: approximately 1~2 thousands USD) (for currency exchange: http://www.x- rates.com/ calculator. html)

Job Description for Computational Material Science

a) Smart material design (DB, alloy design technique)
b) grain boundary dislocation related simulation
c) molecular dynamics simulation, force field development

We have access to veriety of commercial programs as well as a lot of computing power.

The post-doc candidates should have a strong background one of the areas shown above (at least three years of experience)

Should have some skill to automated usage of small programs.

Job Description for Bioinformatics
a) drug design (homology modeling / virtual screening / ligand based drug design)
b) biomolecular simulation (molecular dynamics/quantum chemistry calculation)
c) biomolecular dynamics program development

We have access to veriety of commercial programs as well as in-house programs as well as a lot of computing power. The post-doc candidates should have a strong background one of the areas shown above (at least three years of experience) Should have some skill to automated usage of small programs.
