Post-doct biophysics in Italy

National Research Council of Italy
Institute of Biophysics

A postdoctoral position is available to study the structure-function relationship of the chloride transporter ClC-5 by electrophysiologica l and spectroscopical techniques. ClC-5 is a chloride/proton antiporter involved in Dent disease, a human genetic disease. The biophysical properties of this protein are still largely unexplored. The project offers the opportunity to conduct a biophysical investigation with important physiological implications.

Our work group is one of the leaders in the biophysical investigation of chloride
transporting proteins. We are also a young, dynamic and international group with a
friendly and collaborative working atmosphere.

Our lab is located in Genova in one of the most beautiful Italian coastal regions.
We are searching for a motivated postdoc with a keen interest in the project. Prior
experience in electrophysiology is not strictly necessary.
