International Master - Crossways In European Humanities (University of Perpignan, France)

The European Union has given itself the task of selecting around 100 Master’s programmes capable of attracting students from all around the world to Europe. At present, only one of these programmes specialises in art and literature and that programme is ours: “Crossways in European Humanities”.

“Crossways in European Humanities” is an elite Master’s programme with international recruitment accessible to both European and non-European students alike.

26 grants of 21,000€ per annum are awarded to non-European students.

Mobility is great within Europe and courses take place in 5 European universities: Bergamo (Italy), Lisbon (Portugal), Perpignan (France), Sheffield (England), Saint Andrews (Scotland).

A multiple degree is issued by the universities in which the student has studied.
Master Mundus is a course whose career prospects target positions of responsibility in cultural, economic and administrative sectors on a European and international scale.

Whatever your nationality, if you are a student seeking a Master’s programme specialising in the study of Arts and Social Sciences on the new European scale, and you are planning to cover an extensive geographic and thematic mobility during these studies, discover this elite Master’s programme by scanning the Menu.

You may apply for Mundus Master “Crossways in European Humanities” if:

I) You have obtained a qualification with distinction in Arts, Languages and/or Social Sciences.

II) You speak several languages, at least three of which are part of the consortium: French, English, Italian, Portuguese. Spanish will be considered as an alternative.

III) You are a European or non-European student and have successfully completed an under-graduate degree or have obtained the equivalent of First Class or 2:1 Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Arts, Languages and/or Social Sciences.

Each year, the European Union will award 26 scholarships, amounting to 21 000€ over 10 months, which will be renewable the following year.

These scholarships are intended for non-European students who do not reside in the European Union and who have not spent more than 12 months in the European Union during the last 5 years.

Based on academic criteria, scholarships will be awarded by the Consortium once it has studied all applications. A list of 26 students (13 of Asian origin and 13 of other, non-European origin) will be handed to the European Union which reserves the right to verify the academic abilities of each candidate, and consequently to accept or decline the awarding of a grant to the chosen students.

The Consortium will open an account in an international bank for each student who qualifies for the grant. The grant will be paid into the afore-mentioned account in monthly instalments (for 10 months) starting from September of the university year.

Non-European students who have been chosen to participate in the programme but who have not qualified for a grant from the European Union should make enquiries at their national university regarding the possibility of obtaining a grant from their native country.
