Postdoc Land Development Planning
(Zuid-Holland), 40 hours per week
Delft University of Technology

Job description

The Post doc functions within the field of land development planning. Within this field, the research programme has four topics. The post doc will do research on at least one of those themes.

·Land market regimes and land development instruments: this topic is about how the rules governing the land market are set, evaluated and may be improved, and how the land market works within these rules.

·Land development and urban regeneration: This focuses on the interaction between government and market in urban regeneration projects, e.g., strategic urban projects, station areas, industrial districts, housing areas.

·`Juritecture' of multiple space usage: This scheme focuses on the legal aspects of multiple space usage projects. It is crucial that their rights and obligations are clear and well defined. Establishing the legal basis for such `cohabitation' is the task of the `juritect'.

·Instruments for urban-rural interplay in landscape planning: This scheme examines the opportunities whereby a `transition zone' can be created between urban and rural areas by means of the land policy applying to each type of usage. It therefore seeks an integrated approach to spatial development.
