Skills and knowledge to develop idea and initiative in the local community to enrich it and cooperate in the local community and at international level as well.
What : Training course for young people, youth workers and representatives of local authorities to learn how to use the Youth Programme as a tool to develop and open up the local community to different culture.
Participant countries: From European Union Member countries, Romania (1 or 2 persons from each country) (Mediterranean countries are not programme countries) - (Georgia-Azerbaycan-Russia-Moldova-Ukraine-Albania-BosniaHerzegovina-Croatia-Macedonia-Serbia-Armenia) included.
Target Group: from each country will be invited 3 participants from different background, without practicle experience with the participation, realisation or coordination of the project in the Youth Programme, comming form town with maximum 2O.OOO inhabitants
Young people (15 plus)
Representative of youth organisation /NGO, youth worker
Representative of public sector, municipality working in connection with youth field
Working Language: English, average knowledge of English (to be able to speak and understand)
Criteria for participants: interest and motivation to cooperate within triangle Youth – NGOs – Municipality
Aim:
To introduce how to use the Youth Programme as a tool for openning up the local community to work together with youngsters, representatives of youth organisations and local authorities in a broad understanding of cultural diversity within the frame of European Youth Programme.
To motivate & empower participants to start Youth Exchanges in the YOUTH Programme, and to improve the quality of their projects.
To create and build local partnership and strong network of cooperation among young people, youth organisation/NGOs and local authorities to develop local community.
To support local iniciative, develop local and regional activities to international level.
Objectives:
to inform about the Youth Programme
to support the intercultural learning, understanding and tolerance in european dimension
exchange of experience in the participation field and eveloment of the local community
to support youth participation in the local community
to develop mutual cooperation in the local community¨
to explore work in the Youth Programme as a tool for a intercultural learning, unerstanding.
to discuss and discover the value of the youth program as an extra tool in the general approach and support of personal, local development
Costs: Travel, accommodation and 70 % of travel costs is covered by hosting organisation.
Participants cover 30% of travel costs.
