CALL FOR PAPERS

IEEE PERCOM 2010 PhD Forum on Pervasive Computing and Communications
In conjunction with the
Eighth IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Communications
Mannheim, Germany, March 29 - April 2, 2010
http://www.percom.org/phdforumprogram.shtml

**** Submission Deadline --- December 11, 2009 ****

AIMS, SCOPE, AND FORMAT
------------ --------- --

PerCom 2010 will host the Third Annual Ph.D. Forum on Pervasive Computing and Communications. The Ph.D. Forum provides an opportunity for Ph.D. students to present their dissertation research, including work in progress, to the pervasive computing and communication community. The Forum will be organized as a poster session to
encourage interaction between Ph.D. students and researchers from academia, industry, and government. Extended abstracts will appear in the conference proceedings and will be indexed by the IEEE digital library.

Current Ph.D. students, as well as researchers who have completed their Ph.D. dissertations since May 2009, are encouraged to submit extended abstracts. Submissions that are substantially similar to presentations at the 2009 PerCom Ph.D. Forum are not allowed. The Ph.D. student should be the sole author, although contributions of the advisor and others should be acknowledged in the extended abstract. Submissions will be reviewed to ensure quality and relevance. Authors
of accepted submissions are expected to travel to PerCom 2010 to present a *poster* at the Ph.D. Forum. Standard PerCom 2010 registration fees for authors and other participants apply. Participants who are current full-time students are eligible for the student registration fee.

The Ph.D. Forum Committee will evaluate posters based on the submitted extended abstract, the poster itself, and discussion at the poster session. Special recognition will be given to the most innovative and/ or most promising research project/s presented at the Ph.D. Forum. As in previous years, we expect to receive sponsorship for this event from Google.

Accepted extended abstract will appear in the proceedings published by IEEE, and will be indexed by DBLP and IEEE Xplore.
