This school belongs to a set of a ESFSI series of Summer Schools in High Energy Physics and Astrophysics. It is supported by ESF and CERN.
It will consist of introductory and advanced lectures as well as seminars by participants on the following topics:
Non-perturbative string and M-theory, Holography, Black hole entropy, Cosmology, String phenomenology, String field theory, Topological Field Theory, Tachyon condensation, D-branes on curved spaces, Non-commutative field theories.

Location :
The ESFSI will be held at the Institut d'Études Scientifiques de Cargèse. Cargèse is a pleasant village of considerable charm and historic interest located 50 km north of Ajaccio, on the west coast of Corsica (France). The Institute is located 2 kms south of the village.
Applications :
The school will be open by invitation only to approximately 65 participants. Applications should be made through the web form before February 15, 2006.
Junior applicants should arrange for a letter of recommendation to be sent by e-mail at cargese@lpthe.jussieu.fr before the above deadline. Participants are expected to cover their own travel. The cost of the school, including half board and registration fees, will be 750 Euros (see the registration web-form for more details and the different options). Some funding will be available upon specific request.
