The American University in Bulgaria (www.aubg.bg) and Bridges for Education, Inc. (www.bridges4edu.org) are organizing for the third time in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria an International Summer Camp for Conversational English, from July 2 to July 22, 2006. It is open for high school students 14 - 18 years of age, who have a basic knowledge of English. In the three weeks of the Camp, young people will have a chance to improve their conversational English language skills, make friends from other
countries, and learn exciting new things about other countries and cultures. The purpose of the Camp is to promote tolerance and understanding using English as a bridge.
Students will work with a team of American & Canadian professional and state certified teachers, and local educational specialists. Those students who successfully complete the program will receive a joint certificate of AUBG and Bridges for Education, Inc.

The Camp Fee is 450 EURO, and covers:
v Accommodation for 20 days in the AUBG Residence Halls
v Breakfast, lunch and dinner for 20 days in the University cafeteria
v Instruction and educational materials, dictionaries & camp T-shirts
v Morning English language classes with professional American and
Canadian teachers
v Afternoon and evening activities, such as arts and crafts, debates, sports (baseball, swimming, basketball, soccer), leadership activities, writing for the camp newspaper, games, cultural events such as the International Night and Talent Night shows, and others
v Intensive English language experience for the 3 weeks of the Camp
v Weekend trip to the Rila Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site
v Weekend trip to Bansko, a famous Bulgarian resort and museum town
