Ph.D. Doctoral Assistantship Opportunities in Finance

Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business invites applications for Ph.D. assistantships in the area of finance. The four-year assistantship includes full payment of tuition and fees and provides a highly competitive 12-month stipend. In addition, outstanding applicants will be considered for Provost's and Dean’s fellowships. Candidates wishing to be considered for a finance department assistantship should submit their applications before February 1, 2007.

Located in Philadelphia' s University City area, LeBow College of Business is AACSB-accredited at the graduate and undergraduate levels and offers doctorate, MBA, Executive MBA, and undergraduate degrees as well as executive education programs. The College’s Pearlstein Business Learning Center is a technologically state-of-the- art educational facility that provides classroom space that is highly conducive to

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

LeBow College’s Department of Finance supports the College’s well-articulated research mission with a highly productive faculty of 12 tenured and tenure-track members. The main research focus of the department is on empirical corporate finance, but research interests also include banking, behavioral finance, and international finance. Most recently, Dr. Ralph Walkling has been named the Stratakis Chair in Corporate Governance and Accountability. He oversees the College’s Center for Corporate Governance. During the last year, faculty members
have had their research accepted for publication in the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Business, and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, among others.
