Behavioural Neuroscience postdoc - University at Albany, USA

One or two NIH-funded postdoctoral positions are available from July 1 in well-funded, newly-established group at U. Albany. The lab works on questions regarding the impact of diabetes and hypoglycemia on cognition and risk of Alzheimer's, the role of insulin and other peptides in cognitive and neural processes, and links between hippocampal metabolism and cognitive performance. Ongoing projects pair behavioural measures with analyses at neurochemical, protein, and gene levels, generally in freely-moving rats.

Candidates with experience in microdialysis, rodent cognitive testing, small animal imaging and/or molecular biology are especially welcome, as are candidates with expertise in diabetes or neurodegenerative diseases. Letters of interest should be accompanied by a c.v. and sent to Ewan McNay, ewan.mcnayyale.edu
