Postdoctoral Position - Microarray-based discovery of plant growth-regulatory genes,University of Oxford, UK

GBP 27,466 33,780 p.a.

Postdoctoral position for up to two years funded by BBSRC, ideally starting 1 October 2008. You will work on the detection of gene deletion mutations in Arabidopsis thaliana via hybridisation of mutant plant genomic DNA to whole-genome microarray chips within Professor Nick Harberds group. The aim is to identify/characterise previously undiscovered plant growth-regulatory genes and is a collaboration with Dr Ioannis Ragoussis and Professor Richard Mott at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, Oxford; it comprises a unique multi-disciplinary combination of classical plant genetics, microarray and bioinformatic analyses.
