Charming and ancient city of Lviv (West of Ukraine) is proud to invite guests!
Welcome to the 5th edition of the International School of Ukrainian Studies!
If you have never been to Ukraine or want to come once again, if you wish to discover
ancient European country and its culture as well as to make several exciting trips
including climbing the Ukrainian mountains and visiting famous castles you are more
than welcomed to apply!
The International School of Ukrainian Studies is an educational program that consists
of courses on Ukrainian language, history, culture, economy, internal and external policy courses.
All lectures will be held by the university professors. The official language of
the School is English.
During half of a month participants will get acquainted with Ukrainian national tradition, learning language, tasting delicious traditional food and drinks.
In the frames of the school our participants will get unique chance to visit city’s museums and other attractive places. Weekend in Carpathians with the night in the tent near the fire is also included.
Upon completion of exam participants will receive certificates.
The participation fee is ˆ 350. It includes: accommodation, meals, excursions, travel expenses in the frames of the program and handouts. We do not cover travel expenses to and from Ukraine, health insurance and visa expenses if needed.
We will provide the participants of the School with all the necessary travel information and help to find the best way to get to Lviv.
To become a participant of the School, you have to fill out the application form and attach your resume.
As the selection process is highly competitive we can provide a limited number of scholarship (50% of participation fee – 175ˆ) based upon financial needs of the applicants.
In order to apply for scholarships you have to fill out the application form, attach your resume, short letter of motivation. The application deadline is 1st of June 2008. All applicants will be notified about the decision by June the 5th, 2008
Upon being selected each participant will have to transfer 50 ˆ to our bank account, that will be deducted from the amount of participation fee, which each participant will have to pay upon arrival.
