PhD Position in Organic Photovoltaics

The Zentrum für Sonnenenergie- und Wasserstoff- Forschung Baden-Württemberg (ZSW) is a German state research institute dedicated to R&D in close cooperation with industry in the field of sustainable generation of electricity, heat and fuel withapproximately 140 employees.

We invite applications for a

PhD Position in Organic Photovoltaics

to complete our young team for the development, optimization and characterization of new functional polymer layers, contacts and tandem structures for highly efficient organic solar cells. The focus should be on both technological aspects and fundamental device physics.

We expect:
- an outstanding degree in the natural sciences (physics or closely related) with profound knowledge in semiconductor physics, ideally with specialization in (organic) photovoltaics. Basic knowledge in chemistry is desired.
- very good analytical and experimental skills and dedication to research in renewable energies.
- interest and commitment to work in a highly motivated team and in close cooperation with internal and external project partners.
