Applications are invited for a Science Foundation Ireland-funded Ph.D. within the Department of Physiology & Medical Physics, at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin, Ireland, starting September, 2008.
Our research is focused on cell death and survival signalling in neurological disorders. The Ph.D. project will use a range of molecular biology and advanced imaging tools to explore the targets of the FoxO3 transcription factor in life-span control and responses to injury in neurons.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in neuroscience or related discipline and broad knowledge of molecular biology. The research will be conducted in new state-of-the-art research facilities at the St. Stephens Green College campus in the heart of Dublin city.
