The Modern Times Stage Company (Toronto) is preparing a peacebuilding project in Mostar, Bosnia & Hercegovina.
The project involves the production of a theatre play using Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian youth, war veterans, and theatre professionals in the roles. The play, entitled "Aurash", is based on a 1000 year-old Persian myth, and speaks about the quest for a borderless world.
Parallel to this, a documentary film is being made about the venture, with a thematic focus on identity and ideology.
We are looking for anyone who might be interested in this project, be it from an academic, partnering, participation or funding perspective. At the same time, we would welcome any suggestions or references that you may be able to provide.
