I'd like to invite, as we do every so often, new writers and scholars interested in contributing short (1000-2000 word) articles, which can be on most Balkan topics, to our independent news and analysis site, Balkanalysis. com. At present we do not pay for articles but experience shows that writers have been able to benefit in various ways, from simple exposure to speaking engagements and even new jobs, as a result of being seen on our pages. Second, I am sending out a special call for those of you who have done or are doing research on demographic trends, ethnic, religious, urban, rural, etc., in the Balkans today- past, present and future. I would be very happy to hear from anyone who is doing work on this subject.
Finally, if you are running or know of a good event(s) taking place in the Balkans in the next few months, feel free to submit to us for inclusion on the "Upcoming Balkan Events" section of the website homepage. Events should take place IN the Balkans and have some regional focus, whether economic, political, academic, artistic or social.
