Education, Culture and SocietyThe Women's History Network was founded in Britain in June 1991 by a group of researchers, teachers and academics. Since then it has grown rapidly, and it is now an important national association for all those concerned with promoting women's history and encouraging women interested in history.
The Women's History Network's 15th Annual Conference will be held at Collingwood College, Durham University from 1st September 2006 to 3rd September 2006. We will be focusing the 2006 Conference on the following strands:
Women and education
Women, the humanities and cultural representation
Women's intellectual contribution to the social sciences
Women and scientific endeavor
Thinking Women: past representations
