USA: Simon School Business Simulation Scholarship Competition

Compete in our Business Simulation Competition to win a variety of prizes!!

Grand Prize
a.. A Full Scholarship to the Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester (scholarship valued at over $70,000)

On September 25, 2006, the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business

Administration will launch a scholarship competition that utilizes a business simulation program as a unique method of identifying MBA candidates with potential for successful careers in business. This competition allows participants to demonstrate their business savvy and will be used in addition to standard admissions criteria in order to award scholarships to qualified individuals. The winner of the competition will receive a full scholarship to the Simon School valued at over $70,000. In order to enter the competition, please register online and pay the $35 entrance fee. Contest Information:
a.. The contest will begin on September 25, 2006
b.. Participation is limited to people who are not admitted or currently enrolled at the Simon School
c.. It consists of two rounds/games, and a final presentation in January 2007
d.. The first game will be Marketplace’s Introduction to Marketing Simulation
e.. This game and its balanced scorecard will be used to identify top performers
f.. It will run for three weeks. Each contestant makes two decisions per week
g.. Each decision should take 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete.
h.. At the end of the first round, 3 PDA(s) will be given to the highest performing contest participants
i.. The top performers will advance to the final game, Integrated Business Management
j.. This game will run for four weeks. Each contestant makes two decisions per week
k.. Each decision will take 6-8 hours to complete
l.. The top performers in this round will make presentations to a designated admissions committee on campus at the University of Rochester in January 2007
m.. The on-line game will conclude on November 28, 2006
n.. Each participant in the Simon School Scholarship Competition must be at least 18 years of age
o.. Must have received an undergraduate degree before beginning study at the Simon School
