In the proximity of Romania’s joining to European Union it is the duty of the specialists to clarify the historical, juridical, economical, institutional and cultural dimensions of this turning point in the country’s history. Each European region and each major European town has put into light and has valued its traditions and its potential for the European integration. Transylvania, and particularly Cluj-Napoca, had their own contributions, which were referred in the international literature, at the evolution of the European consciousness. These contributions are not yet enough put into light but the forth-coming perspective of joining the European Union is a good opportunity for doing it, together with specialists from different European Union’s countries.
