CfP: Young leaders in Central and Eastern Europe

The European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) is pleased to announce this years Viadrina CEE Essay Contest. The essays topic is:

'Young leaders in Central and Eastern Europe- background, behaviour, kills' -

Two decades after the collapse of the socialist economy a new generation of young leaders emerges. Having grown up in a fast changing environment, they take a fresh approach to entrepreneurship and management style. Describe your experiences with or as a member of this generation of young leaders. What do you think is the difference between this newly emerged generation of managers and the one who actively experienced the old political and economical system?

Requirements: Young professionals, residents of European countries, with at least three years of working experience, university degree and very good command of English. Contestants may win one out of 3 scholarships for part time MBA: First price: full scholarship for the Part Time MBA - Management for Central and Eastern Europe worth 14.500 EUR, second and third price: a 60% scholarship worth 9.000 EUR. The international accredited Part Time MBA - Management for Central and Eastern Europe is an English-language program designed for young professionals that want to study while staying in the job. The participants attend 9 intensive on-location instruction weeks over an 18 month period at the European University Viadrina in Germany.

Lecturers include experienced senior managers / consultants of international companies and top academics. The classes consist of 25 selected students, representing between 7 to 13 different European nations. Deadline: November 15th, 2006.
