The University of Bath, School of Management is rated 5A for research, 'excellent' for teaching and it is ranked among the top UK business schools. The beautiful location of the World Heritage City of Bath offers superb facilities and quality of life.
Research/teaching bursaries, tenable for a period of four years, are available to support full-time study towards a PhD, as well as teaching development within the School. Applications are welcomed from graduates who have, or expect to obtain a good degree of 2.1 or above in social science and management-related disciplines, who wish to develop research and teaching interests in the following academic areas in the school:
* Accounting and Finance
* Operations Management.
The annual value of the bursary is expected to be around £18,000. The general conditions of the bursaries are similar to Research Council Studentships, but are enhanced to embrace teaching and further professional development. This includes maintenance, home tuition fees, around £2000 for the required contribution to teaching in the School, and £500 to support sundry research expenses.
