Aga Khan University Medical College's Bioethics Unit is organising a one-month certificate course in Research Ethics from July 21 to August 20, 2008 in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA. This course is funded by the Higher Education Commission, Government of Pakistan and United States Agency for International Development through the United States-Pakistan Science and Technology Cooperative Programme, and is designed to help meet
Pakistan's increasing need for training in the ethics required in research on human subjects. Salient areas offered in this course are Contemporary Bioethics, Philosophy (Islamic and Western) and various topics under Research Ethics.
Eligibility
Doctors, nurses and other professionals associated with health care, social scientists, health activists, journalists, lawyers and others who wish to develop a fuller understanding of research ethics are encouraged to apply.

9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Fees
The course is free of cost.
Participants from outside Karachi will be reimbursed one-time return air/train/bus ticket. Please note that accommodation costs are not funded.
