Postdoc - Applied Physics (Lepton number violation experiment) - University of California, Irvine, USA

The University of California, Irvine, seeks applicants for one or more postdoctoral scholar posi-tions in experimental particle physics starting as early as July 2008. Successful candidates will participate in the MEG Experiment at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland. This experiment is currently running and has the best sensitivity of any search for muon and electron number vio-lation in charged lepton processes. There is also a possibility of the candidate contributing to de-veloping a new experiment at Fermilab to search for muon to electron conversion in the field of a nucleus.
