Responsibilities: The postdoc position is supported by Singapore's National Medical Research Council (NMRC). The successful candidate is expected to conduct research on genetic regulatory mechanisms in Pseudomonas aeruginosa using systems biology approaches. The candidate will independently perform cell cultivation, gene cloning, genomics and proteomics assays, and bioinformatics analysis. Publication of results in peer-reviewed journals, as well as research-related outreach and education activities, are highly expected.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in chemical engineering, molecular biology, microbiology, bioengineering or related fields as well as hands-on experience in molecular biology and microbiology is required. Expertise in genomics and proteomics tools (e.g. microarrays) and bioinformatics is desirable, but not required. The candidate must have a solid publication record in peer-reviewed journals. All candidates must have proven competency in written and oral communications and be able to work in an energetic and interdisciplinary team environment.
