USA: ArtsLink - Residencies & Independent Projects

ArtsLink Exchanges

ArtsLink supports exchange between artists and arts organizations in the United States and Central Europe, Russia and Eurasia through three separate types of awards. Recipients are selected through a competitive peer-panel review process.

Residencies

Application Deadline: November 5, 2007

ArtsLink Residencies places artists and arts managers from Central/Eastern Europe, Russia and Eurasia - ArtsLink Fellows - at U.S. arts organizations for five-week residencies. We alternate the disciplines that we fund each year, so please check below to determine when you should apply.

November 5, 2007 deadline - visual and media arts
(residency will take place in fall 2008)
November 3, 2008 deadline - performing arts and literature
(residency will take place in fall 2009)

Eligible Countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

ArtsLink Residencies are funded through public and private sources including CEC ArtsLink, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Trust for Mutual Understanding, the Ohio Arts Council, the Kettering Fund and the Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation with additional support from the Polish Cultural Institute and the Romanian Cultural Institute.

Independent Projects

Application Deadline: November 5, 2007

Independent Projects awards support artists and arts managers from Central/Eastern Europe, Russia and Eurasia who plan to undertake projects in the United States.

Applicants must have a letter of invitation from a U.S. non-profit organization in order to apply for an Independent Projects award. If you do not have a letter of invitation, please consider the Residencies program.
