Development of a fast Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) set-up for on-line material characterisation (esp. polymers) within national research project.
Continuation of a finished project (for typical results of former project please see: http://www.opticsinfobase.org/abstract.cfm?URI=oe-14-13-5945).
You will deal with:
-optical kits and setups
-(pulsed) lasers
-CCD-cameras
-PC-based control of components
You will:
-build a new OCT setup
-evaluate its performance
You will perform:
-Strain measurements in materials
-Monitor polymer crystallization
You will work with following partner institutions:
-OCT group of Medical University of Vienna (OCT)
-Polymer institute of University of Linz
Your profil:
-Physicist (PhD degree)
-Experimental Skills (preferably also in optics)
-Own publication activity
PostDoc position (3 years).
Possibility of permanent position afterwards. Salary: 41000 Euro/year (before tax and insurance)=25000 Euro/year net.
