Truman Library Institute - Awards for Advanced Scholars

Program Description: Grants of up to $2,500 are awarded biannually and are intended to enable graduate students, post-doctoral scholars and other researchers to come to the Harry S. Truman Library for one to three weeks to use its collections. Awards are to offset expenses incurred for this purpose only. Open to students of any nationality.
Average Award Amount: Research Grants: $2,500 maximum. The Senior Scholar's stipend is based on a proposed budget (Up to $30,000.)
Award Duration: Summer or other short-term.
Award Deadline: Research Grant applications are due on April 1 and October 1. Senior Scholar applications are due by December 15.
Eligibility Requirements:
Research grants are intended to enable post-doctoral scholars to use the collections at the Harry S. Truman Library for one to three weeks. Preference will be given to projects that have application to enduring public policy and foreign policy issues. The Senior Scholar's Award is made to post-doctoral scholars engaged in work on some aspect of the life and career of Harry S. Truman.
