Research Fellowship (Climate Change and Cities) REF: HUM/80785
Salary - £34,793 - £52,628 p.a.
The primary selection criteria for the Fellowship are a demonstrated capacity to conduct innovative and rigorous research that refines and extends our understanding of urban responses to climate change in Manchester and other international cities participating in the BISC network, whilst identifying responses that are both technically plausible and socially viable. The Research Fellow will contribute to building a network to share knowledge between Manchester and other Cities in the BISC network about how cities can adapt to cope with the impact of climate change.

Salary - £27,466 - £42,791 p.a.
The primary selection criteria for the Fellowship are a demonstrated capacity to conduct innovative and rigorous research that refines and extends our understanding of poverty and climate change in urban Bangladesh, and also identifies urban design and planning responses that are plausible and politically supportable. The Research Fellow will contribute to building a network to share knowledge between Bangladesh and the developed world about how cities can adapt to cope with the impact of climate change with special emphasis on protecting the poor.
For both posts preference will be given to candidates with an academic or professional background / expertise in environmental urban planning but candidates with a background in other social sciences will also be considered. The Fellowships will be tenable for up to three years.
