The newly formed junior research group -Evolution of Cooperation and Prosocial Behaviour- in the Courant Research Centre Evolution of Social Behaviour (www.uni-goettingen.de/crc_e) at the University of Göttingen (Germany) invites applications for

one doctoral (Ph.D.) position (half-time)

- Salary equivalent to TV-L bracket 13-

The half-time position (19.9 hrs/wk) is immediately available pending formal administrative approval and is initially limited to two years.

The junior research group is looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in experimental behavioural ecology and/or evolutionary biology. The ideal candidate has experimental experience with non-human primates or humans. Acquaintance with the fields of game theory, modelling, computer simulations and programming (Java) is of particular advantage. A good working knowledge of statistics and good English (written and spoken) and computer skills are required. Individual experience will be taken into consideration when determining the specific research duties of the applicant chosen for the position.
