The University of Tennessee Knoxville was founded in 1794 and has been the official land-grant university for the state of Tennessee since 1869. Individuals with degrees from foreign institutions must have earned a minimum of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or other equivalent to a B average on all undergraduate work and the equivalent to a B+ on all completed graduate work.
Prospective international graduate applicants should submit the following:
- Completed application for admission
- $35 non-refundable application fee
- Official university academic records with certified English translations
- TOEFL (550/213/80 minimum scores); IELTS (6.5 minimum band)
- Documented evidence of financial resources
- GRE or GMAT scores (if required)
- Additional program requirements
