International MBA at Moore School of Business

The International Master of Business Administration (International MBA) program at the Moore School of Business offers a cutting-edge graduate international business education that prepares students for today’s global environment. Unlike many schools where international implications often are discussed only at the end of the semester, global issues and experience permeate the business classes in the International MBA program. Students are exposed to international business issues from the first day of class.

The Moore School of Business has been consistently ranked #1 or #2 in the nation for international business since 1989 by U.S. News & World Report in their annual survey of "America's Best Graduate Schools." It is the only public University in the top five.

International MBA students have three options
Language Track - emphasizes learning the langnage and culture of a region of the world
Global Track - focuses on the political, economic, and business factors affecting a region of the world
European Track - an all English-language program taught jointly with the Wirtschaftsuniversi tät Wien (Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration) , with classes held in Vienna, Austria, and on the University of South Carolina's Columbia campus.

Financial Aid for International Students

Candidates who are accepted to the program are reviewed for all merit-based awards first to include fellowships, fee reductions and work grants (see http://mooreschool. sc.edu/moore/ gradadm/gradadm- finassist. htm for more information about merit-based awards). In this review, we will be considering your academic merit based on three major components: Undergraduate performance, GMAT, and full-time work experience. Then an award offer will be extended.

The Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina has partnered with CitiGroup to assist non-U.S. admitted IMBA students with funding options to help pay the cost of attendance (including program fee and cost of living) to attend the program. If additional financial assistance is requested after that award has been considered by the candidate, you can then apply for the CitiAssist Global Loan to cover remaining cost of attendance expenses (this includes remaining program fee,
other university fees, cost of living, travel, and insurance). The loan amount applied for can be discussed between the admissions office and the candidate so that the needed amount is applied for. The CitiAssist Global Loan is a non-secured loan, so you will not need a U.S. co-signor. The interest rate is prime plus 5% and interest begins to accrue upon disbursement.

There is also a secured loan option with Citibank – the CitiAssist Loan. This is a loan for international students who do have a U.S. co-signor. You do not need the Graduate Admissions office involved to apply for this loan, you simply need to go to http://studentloan. com . The CitiAssist Loan has a lower interest rate than the CitiAssist Global Loan.

International students should visit the International Programs for Students Web site at www.sa.sc.edu/ ips/funding. htm for information concerning other funding opportunities.
