CfA: UN Seminar on Peacekeeping in former Yugoslavia 23-24 July SLOV

Academic Solutions is very pleased to invite applications for the UN seminar on PEACEKEEPING IN THE FORMER YUGOSLAVIA: FROM THE DAYTON ACCORD TO KOSOVO. The participation fee for nationals of former Yugoslav states is only 150 euros while the regular fee is 295 euros for all other applicants.

This official UN short course will be delivered on 23rd and 24th July at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia by Dr. Giovanni Ercolani, who will present a UN perspective regarding the military and political efforts to bring peace to the Former Yugoslavia during 1995-1999 as well as discuss his own military experience in the region.

Topics covered will include:

· New & Old Wars, Civil Wars, Ethnic Conflicts, Terrorism
· Understanding Peacekeeping
· Understanding Conflict Resolution
· The Dayton Accord
· UN/NATO operations
· The role of the media
· The Kosovo crisis

Successful participants will be awarded certificates from the United
Nations Institute for Training and Research.
